Snugfit Blind System

Our Snugfit blind system allows us to fit into the reveal of frames on windows and doors. One of the main selling points for this system is that we do not need to drill into your frames to fix the blind; the blind is located into brackets that are held by the gasket of the window frame. The other positives of Snugfit are that any sill areas or door thresholds are kept completely clear so they can be used without any obstructions from the blinds. When a door or window is opened the blind goes with it so there is no control cord hanging which makes this system totally child safe. The only thing you need to remember is you will need a blind per panel, this will bump the cost up as a window that possibly could have just 1 blind may need 3 or 4 depending on how many panels you have. The Snugfit system comes in three different blind products, Plisse which is single pleated blind, metal Venetian and the superior double-pleated Duette. All 3 products come with a small cover cassette at the top of the blind. There are limits to the size of width and drop we can use with snug fit but if it is not possible to use we have other ways of achieving a similar result.

Snugfit Duette (double pleat)

The Duette double pleated blind and its many uses makes it the best selling fabric blind we produce. It features a unique honeycombe construction with a built-in air gap which makes it highly energy-efficient blind keeping the heat out in the summer and the warmth in during the winter. Cosmetically it beats the single pleat as all the cords run within the honeycombe so there are no holes or cord visible when the blind is lowered. The blind is operated by moving the bottom rail up and down by hand. There will be a cord running down the sides of the window reveal which is under constant tension, this cord controls how easy the blind is to use by setting the correct tension.

Snugfit Plisse (single pleat)

The Plisse single pleat is constructed of one layer of fabric resembling a fan structure. The blind has cords running through the fabric which will be visible when the blind is lowered over the window or door. We have a wide choice of fabric textures and colours to choose from. The blind is operated by moving the bottom rail up and down by hand. There will be a cord running down the sides of the window reveal which is under constant tension, this cord controls how easy the blind is to use by setting the correct tension.

Snugfit Metal Venetian

Unlike the 2 previous options the Snugfit Venetian blind allows you to control light by tilting the slats to any desired angle for privacy or light transmission. The blind is available in 16mm slat width and 25mm slat width. It is raised and lowered in the same way as the pleated blinds but has an added control fixed to the cassette at the top of the blind. This is a slider that moves right and left which in turn tilts the slats. There is a cord running down the sides of the window reveal which is under constant tension, this cord controls how easy the blind is to use by setting the correct tension.
