Blind Inspiration was started by me over 20 years ago and has gone from strength to strength since. I have been in the curtain and blind business since 1986 and my original trade was Upholstery. After getting disillusioned with a dying trade, I decided to change careers and try to incorporate both upholstery with the curtain and blind business, which I thought at the time would go well together. My hunch was right and fate took me to a small soft furnishing outlet, which I ran successfully for 3 years.

When I left, I had a wealth of experience in the curtain and blind trade and went on my own, sub contracting for Interior Designers and High Street shops. I specialised in Fabric Covered Walls and Ceilings, Upholstered Pelmets and offered a full fitting and curtain dressing service. This worked very well for many years and I found myself drifting more to the blind side of the business. It was 1999 and I decided to gradually start another venture, which would run alongside the interior design sub contract business.

My thoughts at the time, were that I wanted to deal directly with my own customers, rather than on a sub contract basis. Within a year, Blind inspiration was up and running and had grown enough for me to gradually drop the sub contract side and devote all my time to this new venture.

In 2007, my son joined the business and quickly grasped all the technical knowledge necessary, to be able to advise our customers on the right product. We pride ourselves on good customer service as in today’s world, that is sadly lacking in many businesses and being a family business, personal service is guaranteed. When you make contact with us initially, you will speak to Tony (myself) or Dominic (my son), from that point onwards you will not deal with any middlemen or sub contractors. All consulting, quoting, installation and any aftersales, is dealt with by Tony or Dominic personally. If you require a quotation or advice on a project you may have, call 01628 898123 to book a showroom visit or alternatively an appointment in your own home, myself or Dominic will then do all we can to assist you. We are members of the BBSA (British Blind & Shutter Association) and can be found listed on their website. All members are initially screened and assessed and follow a strict code for child safety when using blinds.

Over the years we have built a large client base, which continues to grow. Around 75% of our enquiries come from recommendations and referrals. We are based in Marlow and cover a wide area. We specialise in all types of blinds and shutters motorised or manual. Our Showroom is by appointment only so please call first.
